
Alvaro Muñoz
Vice President Financial Reporting, ControllerRole & Responsibilities:
As Vice President Financial Reporting, Controller, Alvaro is responsible for overseeing Pan-American Life’s enterprise-wide Accounting and Financial Reporting functions. In this capacity, he leads Finance Transformation activities across the United States and International operations.
Career:
Prior to joining Pan-American Life, Alvaro was Chief Financial Officer for ALICO’s operations in Panama and Costa Rica. In this role, he had active participation in the integration of PALIG and ALICO affiliates in these markets, eventually leading the financial function for combined entities. Alvaro has over 20 years experience in financial management roles, both at the field-level and corporate settings, having begun his career with AIG in 2002. Prior to his current position, he was CFO of Pan-American Life’s Latin America region, responsible for financial operations across PALIG’s regional footprint.

Alvaro is a member of the Board of Trustees for the YMCA of Greater New Orleans, serving on its Finance Committee.
Education:
Alvaro holds a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College and received an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Business Law.
