Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

 

We are mindful of the level of concern that you might have with regards to Coronavirus COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”).   As our Business Partner, it is important for us to inform you that Pan-American Life Insurance de Costa Rica, S.A. has decided that will continue to provide coverage for the treatment of the Coronavirus disease.

This means we will waive the application of any exclusion related to pandemic/epidemic in our Group policies and Individual Major Medical policies. This waive applies only for COVID-19, and does not imply a definitive or permanent modification to the conditions of the contracted policy.

The spread of the Coronavirus is creating a very dynamic situation that is rapidly evolving; therefore, Pan-American Life Insurance de Costa Rica, S.A., is monitoring the situation continuously, including closely examining the communications from the Ministerio de Salud Pública, the Superintendencia General de Seguros (SUGESE) and the Asociación de Aseguradoras Privadas (AAP).

PALIG has implemented its business continuity plan. Out of an abundance of precaution our offices are closed however, our client/customer service department remains open. We apologize for the inconvenience during this transitional period. For urgent requests or concerns, please contact (506) 2204-6300. You can also access our PALIG Direct portal for policy benefits, insured eligibility, claims status, pre-authorizations, billing, among others. Our priority is to serve you and answer any questions you may have.
