Pan-American Life Insurance Group Names Rodolfo Revuelta Executive Vice President

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced today that Rodolfo “Rudy” Revuelta has been named Executive Vice President. Mr. Revuelta, who has been with Pan-American Life for more than three decades, will continue to serve as the Group’s Chief Investment Officer.

“Rudy’s promotion is recognition of the key role he has played in shaping the conservative and disciplined investment strategy that underpins Pan-American Life’s financial strength and our legacy of delivering peace of mind to our policyholders,” said José S. Suquet, the Group’s Chairman of the Board, President and CEO. “Over the last 10 years our asset base has grown from $1.6 billion to $5.5 billion and I am confident that under Rudy’s steady stewardship our investment portfolio will continue to deliver exceptionally strong results.”

In 2015, Mr. Revuelta and his investment management team helped Pan-American Life navigate the low interest rate environment, achieving a new acquisition yield of 5.45%. The company has also consistently outperformed industry investment benchmarks, ranking first out of 49 companies with comparable asset bases in terms of gross book yield on bonds in 2014.

“As a result of the merger with Mutual Trust in 2015, our investment team is now managing an additional $2.1 billion in assets,” Suquet continued. “Rudy’s ability to find the balance between competitive rates of return and acceptable risk profiles is unparalleled.”

Mr. Revuelta first joined Pan-American Life as a securities analyst for Latin America in 1976. He is a member and past chairman of the Investment Committee of the United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area and past president of the Financial Analysts of New Orleans.

Mr. Revuelta received a bachelor’s degree of science in business administration and an MBA from the University of Florida. He earned his chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation in 1980 and is a member of the CFA Institute, formerly AIMR.
