Pan-American Life Insurance Group Names Patrick Fraizer Executive Vice President
Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced today the appointment of Patrick Fraizer as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Fraizer has been a Senior Vice President with PALIG since 2006.
In addition to continuing his role as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Mr. Fraizer will now assume the responsibilities of Chief Compliance Officer for the Group. In this capacity, working closely with the board of directors and management, he will oversee Pan-American Life’s compliance and regulatory activities.
“Pat’s expertise, particularly in mergers and acquisitions, has been invaluable to our organization,” said José S. Suquet, the Group’s Chairman of the Board, President and CEO. “He, along with Carlos Mickan, our Vice Chairman of the Board and CFO, played a fundamental role in the 2012 ALICO acquisition, as well as the recent Mutual Trust merger; both transactions which have made Pan-American Life a bigger and stronger company.”
Mr. Fraizer has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and prior to joining Pan-American Life he served as Vice President and Senior International Counsel for the Principal Financial Group, having previously served as their General Auditor and Chief Compliance Officer.
He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Life Insurance Counsel, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree of business administration in accounting and a J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa.
