Pan-American Life Insurance Group Names New General Manager for the Dutch Caribbean Islands
NEW ORLEANS–December 03, 2018 – Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a leading provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced today that Olivier Van De Gevel has joined the company as General Manager (Designate) for the Dutch Caribbean Islands pending the corresponding regulatory approvals.
Mr. Van De Gevel will be responsible for business development and growth, field force management as well as financial performance for the market. He will report to Greer Quan, PALIG CEO for the Caribbean.
“Olivier has extensive experience in the insurance industry and knowledge of the Caribbean, particularly the needs of customers that call the Dutch islands home. Mr. Van De Gevel joins PALIG from Guardian Group Fatum in the Windward Islands, where he was Country Manager. He has nearly 17 years of insurance and financial management experience from his work in The Netherlands, Amsterdam and the Caribbean, including leadership positions with Zwitserleven Advieslounge. He is an active member of the St. Maarten Insurance Association, St. Maarten National Health Council and the Rotary Club of St. Maarten. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hanzehogeschool, HEAO of Groningen in The Netherlands.
