
Wendell Mottley
Member of the Board since February 2013Wendell is the former chairman of the Unit Trust Corporation, the Caribbean's largest mutual fund company. He served in several government positions in his native Trinidad & Tobago from 1981 – 1995, notably as Minister of Housing, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Minister of Finance. He joined Credit Suisse New York in 1996 and served as an investment banker in various positions for 15 years including Managing Director and Senior Advisor.
Wendell is a former board member of the World Life Fund; and of the Asa Wright Beard Foundation, the leading environmental group in the Caribbean. He is also a member of the Leadership Council of Yale University School of Forestry and the Environment.
Wendell is also an Olympic medalist, winning silver and bronze medals in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo games. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. from Cambridge University.
