This plan provides coverage for medical expenses incurred by the policyholder in the event of an illness or accident. Benefits are established in accordance with the client's needs, but normally provide comprehensive hospital, surgery, maternity, ambulatory, prescription drug and emergency benefits within Costa Rica and Central America, and often in the United States and other countries.

This coverage provides financial protection for the insured's beneficiaries and normally provides a lump sum payment to the beneficiaries should the insured die while actively covered under this policy. This coverage has no geographical limits and may also be purchased in combination with Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Total and Permanent Disability, and/or Disability income coverages.

This plan can be added to health and life insurance plans, offering a variety of benefits and services including preventive, restorative and orthodontic treatment.
