NEW ORLEANS, LA - May 5 - Gigante Express and Pan-American Life, two leading companies in their industries, announced today the launching of Remesa Siempre Seguro. This is a new product that will only be available through the participating stores of Gigante Express in the United States and will offer protection to Central American families that receive money transfers in-country/abroad.
Remesa Siempre Seguro is a money transfer that is protected against the risk of accidental death. Once acquired, any person that sends a money transfer to family members will guarantee a temporary flow of income in case of accidental death. The product offers protection for a period of 36 consecutive months. During this period the recipient of the money transfer/remittance will receive a steady income of $350.00 a month.
With this new product, the coverage is effective for 31 days from the date of purchase, as documented on the receipt. In addition, if you desire continuous coverage, Remesa Siempre Seguro may be purchased on a monthly basis, with the purchase of the money transfer.
"When we combine the resources of these two great businesses, we are confident that we can assure Central Americans that send money transfers to their loved ones from the United States, that the money will continue to arrive even if an accidental death were to occur," stated José Suquet, President of Pan-American Life Insurance Group. "Pan-American Life is aware of the significance of this money flow between the United States and Central America. This initiative solidifies our Bridge to the Americas, which strengthens the financial wellbeing of people on both ends of the hemisphere."
From now on, both Central Americans living in the United States, as well as their family members abroad, will have peace of mind knowing that they can count on REMESA SIEMPRE SEGURO, the money transfer that always arrives.
"It is truly an honor for our company to have established this important alliance between Pan-American Life and Gigante Express. As of today we have available an important product offering," said José Carlos Pérez Saleh, President, Gigante Express.
Remesa Siempre Seguro will be available as of today, May 5, 2008 in conjunction with the money transfer service of Gigante Express in its stores in Florida, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia, while Pan-American Life, a leading company in the life and health insurance industry in the United States will provide the added protection in case of accidental death.
